Jacob’s Ladder Ministries vision is to to connect justice involved persons with their faith, families and communities one step at a time.

Jacob’s Ladder Ministries' (a faith-based 501c3 organization) mission is to renew individuals, restore families and to rebuild communities.
"They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations".
About Director Alfred T. Long, Sr.
Alfred T. Long Sr. author of “Grasping at the Wind” knows firsthand what it feels like to struggle with addiction to alcohol and drugs. A product of the turbulent 1960s and early ’70s in Chicago, Illinois, Alfred embarked on a life of addiction and crime. He was on his way to becoming another sad statistic until God intervened and gave him a new life.
Alfred is a Pastor, Author, Certified Life and Business Coach, Certified Corporate Instructor and the father of three grown children Lisa, Alfred Jr. and Tamar. He is the grandfather of two lovely granddaughters, Tyler and Kennedi.
Alfred is married to Kacie Starr Long and together they minister to those who are far from God
Our Transition Re-Entry Mentor/Coach program helps smooth the transition back to society for former inmates returning home after incarceration. We provide mentoring and coaching along with referral services to help ease the transition back to the outside world.
We conduct worship services and one on one Coaching|Counseling sessions to justice involved individuals in facilities throughout the Missouri and St. Louis Metro area.
Addiction Recovery Workshops
We provide a 12 week workshop and training course that uproots addictions of all kinds and provides a maintenance program to remain free.
The workshop is taken from the book "Grasping At The Wind" written by Director Alfred T. Long Sr.
We offer this workshop to Churches, penal institutions, small groups, conferences and is tailored to you or your organizations needs.
"Breaking The Cycle" Scholarship Fund
In partnership with the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce we provide annual scholarships to High School students in the St. Louis North County area.
Our vision is to provide students from families with one or both persons incarcerated a small scholarship to help them attend a college of their choice.
We encourage responsible decision-making, social engagement and family responsibility!
